According to family tradition, Charles stayed with John and Susan Bishop for years. He walked off one day carrying his gun and was not heard from for 20 years. One day he came walking home from Fredricktown, Missouri for a visit. It was reported that he had three daughters. He walked away again and they never heard from him after that. |
