NC. Jacob accompanied his father to North Carolinia prior to 1750. They were pioneer farmers. In 1753 they settled on the Opequon Creek in Orange County (now Frederick County) Virginia. They went to Loudoun Co., Virginia in 1760. In the winter of 1760-61 they were in Maryland and in the spring of 1761 in Hampshire Co., VA (now West VA.) Jacob had six sons and at least twelve grandsons who were ministers. Jacob is buried in the Lutheran churchyard on Mill Creek ,(now) Hardy Co., West Virginia. Family tradition indicates Hannah was killed in an Indian outbreak, being burned to death in a stockade destroyed by fire. |
